She Grows for Development

Cultivate Impact Beyond What’s Seen

Our story begins in Ajloun, northern Jordan, where a deep connection to land, agriculture, and community inspired a vision for change. The founder, who grew up in a farming environment, revealed something important: sustainable practices are not optional; they are essential for protecting livelihoods, ecosystems, and future generations.

From that foundation, a simple idea took root: to be hand in hand with local communities, especially youth, with the knowledge and tools they need to lead climate, environmental and agricultural change. What started as local awareness efforts grew into EcoYouth Jordan and later evolved into She Grows for Development.

Today, we focus on what we see matters most: turning awareness into action.
We work with you and your community through:

Our efforts are climate education programmes, the She Grows Network, and climate awareness and journalism designed to move beyond ideas into measurable impact.

2020Foundation as Eco Youth Jordan
She Grows began as a grassroots initiative under the name Eco Youth Jordan, driven by a commitment to youth engagement, climate and environmental action.

Launched environmental awareness trainings for youth and local communities

Published educational articles on sustainability and climate action in the local language

2023Legal Registration and project piloting
In 2023, the initiative was formally registered as a non-profit company, strengthening its institutional framework and operational capacity.

Completed formal registration as a non-profit organization

Strengthened institutional structure and operational capacity

Designed and co-created multiple projects, such as the Environmental Leadership Programme (ELP), JOTalkCOP, Green Weeks in Universities, the Akyas Aktar Amman Initiative, awareness programmes designed in Arabic, the waste management campaigns, and hikes; launched the SheGrows Network and other environmental activities.
